Many of you might know our company, Corvus Belli, from the futuristic sci-fi universe we created, Infinity, from some of our games such as Aristeia!, Infinity Deathmatch TAG Raid or Infinity Defiance, or because we've been producing amazing miniatures for more than 20 years now!
The Corvus Belli team has been dreaming of creating a fantasy world for a long long time, and now that we have dominated science fiction it was time to start a new adventure!
There’s been thorough research, thinking and creativity, all mixed up in this cradle that has resulted in our own fantasy world. Its name is Warcrow and it is here now!
The universe
Are you looking for land dominated by mighty forests, treasure-hiding mountains, and unexplored areas?
This is the setting you were looking for!
Warcrow is a fantasy universe in which different nations must decide which part they will play in it.
Hold on to what they know, fight for what they believe in, unravel the mysteries surrounding them, protect their heritage, or stride towards their destiny.
This is a classic fantasy setting but with the Corvus Belli special touch.
In this universe, you will find the all-time favourite fantasy races such as dwarves, elves, and orcs... but also some new cultures, fresh from Corvus Belli, like the Varank.
The nations of this world, the characters, their stories, everything will turn into miniatures to bring to the game table, opening the field for different new games.
For now, we can talk about two: a dungeon crawler and a wargame.
Warcrow adventures - The Dungeon Crawler
Warcrow Adventures is a fantasy dungeon crawler, with brave heroes that will find themselves involved in strange adventures, finding their destiny in a world of mystery and magic.
These heroes will come from a variety of backgrounds, giving a taste of Lindwurm’s different races and nations, their mindset, their culture, and their values.
This project will come out as a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
The demo set will be playable at GenCon 22 and media coverage of those demo games will be released on those same days.
Once the campaign is over and the supporters have received their copies of the game, Warcrow Adventures will be a catalogue product available to distributors and retailers. In other words, we are directing our efforts to create a retail edition.
Warcrow Adventures offers a completely new set of mechanics. This game combines tactical, action playing with a deep focus on the narrative.
Throughout the game, players will have the possibility to interact with other characters, learn their stories, talk to NPCs... and also, explore different scenarios, fight a range of different enemies, and thrive in the development of the story.
The Core Set miniatures will be produced in high-quality plastic.
The release date of this campaign is expected in November of 2022.
The story of Warcrow Adventures will work as a gateway to the Warcrow Universe.
Warcrow - The wargame
Corvus Belli is targeting GenCon 2023 as the stage for the arrival of Warcrow, the wargame.
Tensions, uncertainty, action... and of course magic, will be very present in the Warcrow universe.
This wargame will be different from everything we made before.
A new set of mechanics has been created for the game, and it will be played with eight-sided dice. Our intention is for the rulebook not to exceed fifty pages.
The players will need around 20 miniatures to make it to the battle. Said miniatures will be made of injected thermoplastic, produced at Corvus Belli headquarters.
Even though it's a brand new game, Warcrow will get all the benefits we usually offer at Corvus Belli, and that you might have been able to try if you're an Infinity or Aristeia player.
In-universe transversality is to be expected. The figures in Warcrow Adventures will be playable in Warcrow the wargame.
