These are some of the questions about Warcrow Adventures, our dungeon crawler, that you usually ask us through social networks and that we have compiled so that you can access them at a glance:
Will all miniatures be playable in the wargame?
All miniatures except the giant beasts (the Thunderous Gust dragon and the giant Mornmab) will have a profile in the future wargame.
Can I play the Thunderous Gust or Giant Mornmab scenarios without buying the miniature?
If you buy the game before June 6th, the core box comes with the token for the initiative tracker and the card with its stats.
In addition, we will upload to our website a pdf with the template of the bases, in case you want to make your own monster or use another figure that you already have instead.
However, we recommend that you play with the real miniatures of the game because their movement on the table is very important for the mission, and their presence makes it much more immersive!
What are the Warcrow Adventures miniatures made of?
All miniatures in the game will be made of high-quality PVC plastic.
Do the miniatures need to be assembled or do they come pre-assembled?
All the miniatures will come pre-assembled and ready-to-play out of the box. The larger PVC figures will come pre-assembled.
Any assembling needed will have anchors that are simple to use.
Please also note that miniatures come unpainted.
When is Warcrow Adventures expected to arrive?
We expect to begin shipments in February 2024.
Will Warcrow Adventures go to retail?
Warcrow Adventures will be available in our distribution channels once we have delivered the product to all our backers.
Please note, however, that there will be Kickstarter-exclusive elements that will not make it to the final retail version.
How big are the game cards?
The mini cards will have a size of 63 x 41 mm. Magnum cards will be 110 x 70 mm
Can the alternative enemies be used in all campaigns?
The enemies you will find in They Came from the Fog are used in the main campaign and the first expansion (Shallows of Mist and Chains of Dread) and The Underground Rascals contains enemies for the second expansion (Deathclaws of the Dream).
How can I activate the alternative enemies in the app?
The app will have a collections section where you can indicate which products you have so that it will take them into account when you play the scenarios.
Will there be a random scenario generator?
No. It's not something we've included at the moment, but we'll see where the project takes us. While randomly generated scenarios are super fun to play in other circumstances, our focus is on giving you a narrative-driven challenge.
However, the alternate scenarios and the Thunderous Gust or the Giant Mornmab quests can be played as one-shots, in case you want a quick experience.
Will the app provide support for fan-created scenarios?
No. Not at the moment, as the game has a very strong narrative base coming from information that we have from the development team, but that has not yet been presented to the players.
Since this is a narrative-driven adventure, during the launch period player-generated content will not be something that the app will support.
But we're not closing ourselves off to anything - we'll see how the future develops and what surprises it holds!
In how many shipping waves will Warcrow Adventures be sent to backers?
The game, no matter the type of pledge, will be shipped in one unique wave.
Can I only buy add-ons?
No, it is mandatory to choose at least 1 pledge (Core or Platinum) to have access to the accessories or add-ons.
What devices will the app support?
The Warcrow Adventures companion app will be available for iOS and Android phones/tablets and also in Steam.
Do I need access to the Internet to play?
Nope, everything in the app works totally offline. You will only need an internet connection to download the app.
Can I buy expansions or enemy boxes from the app?
No, this option is not available.
From the app what you do is mark the products you have so that the AI takes them into account and lets you select the different campaign options.
To buy products you will have to do it through our Gamefound or later in stores.
Is the game for a minimum of 2 players, but with one character each, or must there always be 4?
Can I start a new campaign without losing the progress of the current one?
The app will have several save slots allowing you to have more than 1 campaign saved, which means that you can play with different groups of friends and don’t have any problem with your savestates.
Can I save the game at any point?
You’ll be able to save at any point of the game during a quest (not in the middle of a narration step), and also at the beginning and the end of the Hawthorn Point phase.
Will there be new expansions and scenarios in the future?
With Warcrow Adventures we intend to give rise to a new product line with continuity in expansions, scenarios, and new miniatures, but, of course, that depends on the love you give to the game!
