Warcrow Adventures is supported by an app whose goal is to manage the game narrative. It also helps placing the tiles and markers, managing the behavior of the enemies’ artificial intelligence (AI), and through it you’ll play the city phase.
The App is available in Apple’s App Store, Google’s Play Store, and soon in Steam.

The narrative in Warcrow Adventures: An RPG Dungeon Crawler
The more than 150,000 words of Warcrow Adventures’ narrative are included in the App. It’ll be the App itself that’ll store the results of the decisions and Rolls we make and will show us the corresponding outcomes.
Decisions made during a Warcrow Adventures match and the results of the Rolls will impact the future by changing how the narrative unfolds: it’s not the same to pass a Roll with one or more successes, or even not passing it at all.

As a group, the players themselves are the masters of the match, and both the way they play the characters and the path their heroes will tread is entirely in their hands.
Moreover, the App manages the nations’ affinity system, which will make the story differently depending on the affinity you have with the nation of the NPCs you meet throughout the missions.
The affinity will be determined in the narrative encounters happening in the city phase between missions.
Players will be aware of the possible benefits and consequences of being on good or bad terms with a nation.

Placement of tiles and markers
The app will act as an ally in setting up a match and it’ll help us manage the tension and emotion of the scenario. It’ll indicate what tiles should be placed and how to position them, as well as point out where to place the interaction markers and the scenario’s interest points.

Likewise, it’ll indicate the initial position of heroes and enemies alike.
The app doesn’t manage the movement or initiative of either the characters or the enemies.
Enemy AI behavior
The app manages the behavior of the enemies, meaning that it’ll tell us which actions they’ll perform during their activation.
The enemies’ behavior is constituted by 3 entries that indicate what an enemy unit is going to do. Firstly, a check of the first entry will be made and, if the appropriate requirements are met, the action will be carried out. Otherwise, the enemy will skip to entry number 2, and so on. The behavior entries of the same enemy will change throughout the same match and battle. Using the App allows the existence of permutations between the different behaviors that a unit can exhibit. By the same token, if the same enemy unit appears at another point during the campaign, its behavior will be different.

Additionally, enemies will have special behavior patterns that will change depending on the number of their wounds, the time they’ve spent on the table, or what character is attacking them.
Enemy units’ attacks and stats are featured in their enemy card, which will be on the table for all players to see.
The city phase
The App will manage the city phase in between missions. Players will decide where to place their characters using a map of the different neighborhoods of Hawthorn Point, the city in which the events of this dungeon crawler take place.

Map pending to design changes.
The different locales will allow you to perform an action like healing consequences, removing the stain, improve an attribute, and crafting consumables; while also allowing you to play out a narrative encounter with an NPC. The results of said narrative encounters will determine the affinity with the different nations, among other things.
The city phase is played from the App.
Crafting consumables
As a mission unfolds, characters may find raw goods which they can trade in the Hawthorn Point Phase in exchange for a consumable. Raw materials are either hidden in the scenarios or dropped by enemy units when they’re defeated. You can check the recipes for the special items using the App.

All raw materials you obtain during the missions are automatically logged into the App. The cards of the consumables you craft are physical cards that will be added to any character and that expire at the end of a mission.
Voice-over
Playing a board game with a strong narrative is very immersive and the introductory texts to each mission will put us in situations. The application, moreover, will help us precisely to create that tension and atmosphere without the danger of Spoilers.
And to prevent you from any distractions and to avoid stopping the game to read large paragraphs, we will be adding a voice-over as a feature to the Warcrow Adventures app. A mind-blowing voiceover that will narrate all the introductions of all the missions in the game, whether Core, Expansion, or extra campaign. And it will be available in the two languages that we are printing the game: English and Spanish.
With this, the Warcrow Adventures app just keeps getting better and better!
