Cavalry always steals the spotlight on the gaming table: they command attention with their mobility, their rules, and, of course, their spectacular design. In Warcrow, we've truly set the bar sky-high. The nations of Lindwurm have mounted troops that are wonderful. For now, the Hegemony, Tribes, Sÿenann, Feudom, and Scions are already enjoying these miniatures (and just wait until the Mounthaven ones arrive!). Let’s take a look at what’s already hit the shelves!
Hegemony of Embersig - Black Angels
The Black Legion is characterized by its organized infantry and modern firearms, but behind this civilized appearance and organization hides a primitive heart, heir to the Maghar horsemen who founded the Hegemony of Embersig, riding in from the west. The troops that best embody this fierce relentlessness are the dreaded Black Angels. These mounted warriors are the shock troops of the Black Legion. Their ebony helmets do not conceal the dashing face of a noble knight, but rather the cunning, roguish scars of a plunderer. The burly arms that wield their spears do not seek the crest of a rival in a joust, but the heart of their opponent. Their horses have not been raised in the posh stables of a castle, but in the wide meadows of Lemédia, and they do not carry a banner, but rather the plumage that marks them as the chosen ones of the Togrul, the thunderbird that annihilates its enemies.

Northern Tribes - Warg Raiders
Wargs are unique creatures, halfway between a beast and a supernatural being. The World Spirit entrusted them with a great responsibility, which has made them feared and avoided: they are the hunters of dead souls. When a natural being, such as animals, plants, orcs, or varank dies, their soul must reunite with the World Spirit, from which all things come. Unfortunately, many souls refuse to make this journey voluntarily, which makes them prey for the wargs. Therefore, the varank believe that encountering one is a sign of imminent death. The wargs only accept orc riders who are truly prepared to breach the gates of death, as they are the only creatures with whom these mounts reach a true kinship and understanding.

Sÿenann - Clouded
The Clouded are one of the most unique units of the Sÿenann troops. These warriors owe their name to the large cats that accompany them, whose fur resembles a nebulous mix between clouds and smoke, although some of these cats remind other Sÿenann of the Fog so much that they do not like being in their presence… at all. The elders comment that the clouded cats’ abilities adapted due to them living under the Fog of the Forest of No Return since the fall of Gae Assail, until they became able to navigate it. However, their numbers remain rather small – of their litters of eight kittens, only the strongest two ever survive. Mistrustful and solitary, these magnificent animals only show attachment to a select few, so you will only see one or two specimens accompanying a Clouded Sÿenann unit, usually together with the one elf with whom they have established a bond that reflects their immutable loyalty. A clouded cat will go wherever is necessary to serve the Sapling or the Sÿenann to which it has bestowed its friendship, even if it has to drag them from a nasty pit of viscous tar.

Sÿenann - Eachann, the Great Centaurelf
With his imposing presence alone, Eachann, the Grand Captain of the Arcane Grove, terrifies the enemy. Known as the Great Centaurelf, his bearing surpasses all of his species: half Sÿenann, half horse. Waybreaker is the name of his gigantic mace and when he swings it through the air, heads are inevitably removed from their bodies. When he pounds it against the ground, the earth quakes, laying waste to trenches, barriers, and fences with explosive force. It is not surprising then that his specialty is impetuous attacks to disrupt enemy lines.

Feudom - Pierre Besson, Grand Magister of Losna
Pierre Besson has dedicated his life to the Order of Losna. He entered as a child and now commands it as Grand Magister, the highest position in the institution, second only to the Sempiternus, whose orders he follows without question or pause. At the same time, he must comply with the instructions he receives from the king, even if they sometimes contradict those of the Sempiternus, and he must do everything possible to emerge victorious from such conflicts. He is the paragon for the rest of the Knights of Losna, and his strategic skills have allowed him to thrive in this role, as well as focus on his obligations. However, if there is something that worries him now, it is Verena of Aurtigard, the High Priestess of Selas. Besson blindly does his duty by obeying the Sempiternus, but she questions all his directives with increasing frequency.

Scions of Yaldabaoth - Harvesters
The Harvesters move with an agility and precision unbecoming of a corpse, and the scythes with which they are armed turn them into embodiments of death itself. They have the honor of wearing a mask thanks to which they retain part of the will they possessed in life, which allows them to act creatively and independently. Some Harvesters ride out into battle on mounts, as they are the only undead with the skill to master these infernal steeds.

Scions of Yaldabaoth - Kipleacht
When a Disciple decides that they are going to follow the art of the Living Flesh, they must face a test that will demonstrate whether their ability is sufficient enough to continue on this path: the creation of a Kipleacht. Unlike the Marked, the Anointed, and even the Mórnmabs, the Kipleachts are completely original works; They are not born from the transformation of another being, beast or human, but are creatures conceived and created from scratch. Taking parts from other living beings, yes, but without respecting any previous template or structure. Those Disciples with the creativity, expertise, and ambition to create a Kipleacht earn the title of Anatomist and the right to be called Masters, and may aspire to become Sculptors. Many Kipleachts, due to their deadly anatomy and innate ferocity, require a tamer to extract their full potential in combat. This role usually falls to a Marked, whose body modifications make it more likely that they will survive long enough to control the Kipleacht. Becoming responsible for one of the great works of a Sculptor or Anatomist is a privilege of which the chosen Mark is particularly proud – never forgetting that the really important one is the Kipleacht.
