Amidst shouts of triumph and celebration, the exhausted soldiers, mages, and all manner of creatures return home to rest. The intense and thrilling first season of organized play, WTS1: Birth of the Flame, comes to an end.
A first season is always something to celebrate: it marks the beginning of countless events filled with memorable moments on the tabletop for years to come.
But on top of that, something every season has is an undisputed winner: let's raise our glasses and congratulate Celebnaur, who has managed to overcome his rivals and dominate the battlefields of Lindwurm.
The season's miniature, painted by the Corvus Belli studio, and a spectacular trophy await you!
Wait! Do you hear those grunts? They seem to be coming from underground. Yes, it's a swarm of Red Caps that has no intention of stopping for anyone or anything!
Let's welcome the second season of organized play, WTS2: The Hungry Tide!
One of the most important additions to this new season, as an alternative to the scenario-feat duo, are Patrols. Patrols are adventures with a lighter rules load, ideal both for newcomers to the game and for those who already know its ins and outs but are looking for a lighter adventure.
But Patrols do not replace what we already know; rather, they complement it. Some scenarios from the first season are taking a step back, withdrawing from the competitive environment to make room for new additions. At the same time, we have completely overhauled the wording for both scenarios and feats to achieve greater clarity.
Along with these changes, we have made a small adjustment to the scoring in adventures. In the first season, up to 9 Military Points and up to 4 Arcane Points were up for grabs. In this second season, we've flipped things around: now 6 Military Points and 6 Arcane Points are at stake. Feats are gaining a stronger presence, so don't get distracted or your opponent will snatch those precious points.
All in all, the competitive environment is left with:
- 5 Patrols
- 7 Scenarios
- 8 Feats
In the new adventures, you can find adaptations of the winning entries from the scenarios and feats contest held at the end of 2025. A big thank you to all the participants!
Oh! And we must mention the three Red Caps in a trench coat: the inimitable, the unequaled, the one and only PRIVATEER STARVINGSON! This new mercenary, playable in all factions, arrives with the force of the seas to captain your troops to victory—provided they can actually understand his orders.

You can get Starvingson miniature in the new WTS Season 2 pack!

And to close this message, we are announcing the release of version 1.6.1 of the rulebook. Let's quickly review the changes introduced:
- Revised rules for units engaged in combat.
- Revised effects for the Disarmed and Vulnerable states.
- Revised wording for the Duration requirement of skills.
- Revised wording for the effects of Stress.
- Revised wording for contesting control of objectives.
That's all for now! This second season promises a lot of excitement with four complete factions, one almost complete (the Feudom chickens are still flying over the battlefield, avoiding landing on the new releases), Mounthaven slowly emerging from the tunnels beneath Lindwurm, and the wild arrival of Nuada and his crazy Red Caps.
So, grab your dice and miniatures (painted!), and we'll see you on the tables!
