Dice in Warcrow Adventures

Both Warcrow Adventures and the wargame Warcrow are played using eight-sided dice with different symbols on each side. Dice from which you may obtain [Icono Éxito] (red, orange, and yellow) are offensive dice, and those from which you may obtain [Icono Bloqueo] (green, blue, and black) are defensive dice.

These are the symbols featured on the dice:

  • [Icono Éxito] - Success. These symbols represent the successes in a Roll.
  • [Icono Bloqueo] - Block. In a Face to Face Roll, each of these symbols cancels one [Icono Éxito] Success from the rival's Roll.
  • [Icono Especial] - Special. These symbols have no direct effects, but they may enable switches or special skills.

Additionally, you may find improved versions of these symbols. Improved symbols have no direct effects, but they may trigger Switches or other effects. Moreover, Characters who are at [Icono Élite] expert level in a certain attribute may switch the improved symbols for their corresponding normal symbols, so they may further capitalize on Rolls of the said attribute.

  • [Icono Éxito hueco] - Improved success.
  • [Icono Bloqueo hueco] - Improved block.
  • [Icono Especial hueco] - Improved special.

Simple Roll

Simple Rolls in which only one player intervenes. In Warcrow Adventures simple Rolls the players perform using one of their attributes are called tests. In order to pass the test, players must obtain at least 1 [Icono Éxito]. It is possible that an attribute's test requires more [Icono Éxito] to be considered successful.

Dice - Atributos - Warcrow Adventures

If Zsoka had to perform a [Icono voluntad]Willpower test with a difficulty of [Icono Éxito] [Icono Éxito] , she would have to Roll her attribute's corresponding dice. If she obtained at least 2 [Icono Éxito] she would pass the test.

Face to Face roll

Face to Face Rolls always involves a Character and an Enemy. Results from both Rolls can affect each other. The Character cancels as many [Icono Éxito] from the Enemy's Roll as [Icono Bloqueo] are left in their Roll and the other way around: the Enemy's [Icono Bloqueo] cancels the Character's [Icono Éxito] . Symbols that have not been spent on Switches or canceled are the ones that the corresponding Character and Enemy get.Dice VS - Warcrow Adventures

Switches

Switches give you the chance of spending some of the symbols you obtained by rolling the dice (along with automatic symbols) to apply different effects. To trigger a Switch, spend the indicated symbols and apply their effect.

Symbols spent this way will no longer be available for other Switches, nor will they count towards the result of the Roll. For example, if you are playing Nayra and perform an attack with her staff ( [Amarillo]  [Amarillo] ), you may get a [Éxito hueco] . The staff comes with a switch that allows you to change [Éxito hueco]for [Icono Éxito] or Icono Bloqueo] .
