States will play a key role throughout Warcrow Adventures. They are conditions, either positive or negative, that affect miniatures in-game. Both Characters and Enemies may receive states. States are shown in-game by placing the corresponding token on the Enemy Card or Character sheet.
A miniature can have more than one state as long as they're all different. In other words, they can't have more than one token of the same state. A state takes effect from the very moment it's received. To get rid of them, some will have special mechanics (like a roll of a certain attribute) while others will have a limited duration after which they'll be removed (like lasting one activation or one game round).
Down below are some examples of states you may find in Warcrow Adventures:
- [Concentrado]Focused. The Focused state represents that a Character or Enemy is fully committed to their actions. Receiving the [Concentrado] state will mean that you'll have the chance of augmenting whatever Rolls you choose until the end of your next Activation. At the end of your Activation, the state is removed whether you've used it or not.

- Frightened. The Frightened state is linked to one of Warcrow Adventures' most distinctive mechanics: fear. While under the effects of this state, you'll have to reduce every combat Roll you make by one die until you manage to get rid of the state. To do so, you'll have to pass a [VOL]Willpower check at the end of your Activation with a difficulty of 1 [Éxito]. If you pass the Roll, then you may remove the Frightened state. Otherwise, you'll have to try again at the end of your next Activation.

- [Ralentizado]Slowed. The Slowed state delays the Activations of Characters and Enemies. Slowed miniatures will have to move their [INI]Initiative token up two positions at the end of their Activation. Characters affected by Slowed will become active later than they normally would. Once the effect has taken place, the state token is removed.

- [Aturdido]Stunned. The Stunned state will affect your Rolls, either in combat or when facing a test. When you receive this state, you'll have to cancel 1 [Éxito]from your offensive dice Rolls or 1[Bloqueo] from your defensive dice Rolls. Should you have to perform Rolls that combine both dice while under the Stunned effect, you must choose whether you'll cancel a [Éxito]or a [Bloqueo]before rolling the dice. To get rid of the Stunned state, you can make a [FOR]Strength Roll at the end of your Activation with a difficulty of 1 [Éxito]. If you pass the Roll, you may remove the aforementioned state. Otherwise, you'll have to try again at the end of your next Activation.
