There are already 12 characters with which you can play Warcrow Adventures.
In addition to those we initially presented when we announced the campaign, we have been unlocking more and more heroes on Kickstarter. We present them to you below:
Amelia Hellbroth

Years before the armistice was signed, Amelia was assigned to Hawthorn Point to defend the position of the Hegemony of Embersig in this new territory.
When the situation became less tenuous there, Amelia was then stationed in Assail, entering into the ambassador's service.
She was assigned detachments made up of mercenaries whom she had to train in the way of formal combat.
As the months passed, the Hetman Hellbroth confirmed that all the rumors that were propagating about her were true.
Those who served under Amelia knew what she expected: excellence and nothing but.

No one would ever dare confront Amelia Hellbroth as she believes in order, discipline, and sacrifice above all.
After all, the Hegemony has become the most powerful nation in Lindwurm because it is built on a rock-solid foundation, and Amelia will do whatever it takes to protect the interests of the Hegemon and his plans for the new lands discovered with the recession of the all-consuming Fog.
Amelia Hellbroth provides a new role different from the characters we know so far: that of Leader.
Although Amelia is a character that could well stand out for her ability to cause damage to enemies, where the Hetman really shines is when it comes to leading her companions, empowering them with Leadership tokens.
Amelia can place these tokens on her teammates, allowing them to spend them to, for example, make an energy cube available again during their turn.
Amelia Hellbroth is a completely free character for all backers, whether Core or Platinum, and is a Kickstarter exclusive.
Vercana
Vercana is an assassin, efficiency is her forte, and her services are not inexpensive.
She’s a specialist in poisons, and immune to many of them. In most cases, she doesn't even have to sully her hands to kill her victims.
As beautiful as she is intelligent, she is quite aware that her dazzling smile opens many doors…but that same smile does nothing when one has to make a quick exit out the window, so she has trained thoroughly.
In the shadows she traverses, it’s critical to keep your eyes peeled and always be prepared…for death may well be waiting on you around the next corner.

Most of the time, Vercana has plied her deadly trade in the cities of the Merchant Alliance.
Hence her surprise when she received an anonymous request to travel to Hawthorn Point and the island of Assail.
Her target there: A dealer in magical items who has amassed a fortune in the area and is currently hindering the plans of someone who doesn’t take kindly to their plans being hindered.
Her influential client has a lot of gold to spread around and Vercana is not going to let this opportunity slip past her.

That dealer will be the next in a long line of many to fall sway to Vercana’s poisonous charms…
Vercana is an assassin from the Merchant Alliance.
She introduces a new status: "Poisoned" and is well equipped with lethal daggers, which can poison enemies.
In addition, she carries a rope with a dangerous cutting weapon at one end.
In combat, this stealthy assassin is an expert in hiding and making fast attacks.
She can discard the movement points she receives for free at the start of her combat activation and immediately positions herself adjacent to an enemy within a range of her weapon.
A fast and lethal assassin!
Vercana is a totally free character for all backers, whether they are Core or Platinum backers.
Ismail Ishraqi

It was Ismail’s life-long dream to be the City of the Dome’s Reciter.
But one-night foreboding dreams began to plague his sleep - dreams in which he saw a coastal city enveloped by an impenetrable Fog.
This vision scared him, but a light that shone brightly and called out his name also gave him comfort.
The next night he saw himself walking towards the Fog whilst the words “Hawthorn Point” reverberated over and over in his head.
The leaders of the city, the Walkers, were informed and they made the decision that the boy should travel there immediately.
They had been keeping a sharp eye on Ismail for some time, as he showed such extraordinary abilities at the tender age of fourteen.
The One had chosen him for a purpose, and he would heed this call. Ismail was terrified to leave his family and his home because at his young age there was still much fear lingering in his heart and mind. But he accepted his fate, knowing that the decision was out of his hands, ultimately.
The Brotherhood assigned one of the Immortals, Parisa Khosravi, as his bodyguard.

The night before his departure, fighting back a torrent of tears, Ismail managed to calm down enough to meditate.
It was then that he had a new vision. He was heading off into the Fog… but he was not undertaking this journey alone.
He was surrounded by translucent, white silhouettes that walked in pace with him and an indescribable peace emanated from these beings.
Ismail’s confidence swelled as knew then that no matter what happened, he would always be safe.

Ismail Ishraqi is a wizard of the Merchant Alliance.
He is a scary but tremendously powerful guy. Mechanically speaking, Ismail can gain "Fear" tokens which will allow him to boost many of his attacks.
In return, he will have to advance one place in the initiative tracker each time he receives a token (keep in mind that he gets scared!).
Yes, Ismail may take a long time to activate, but when he attacks he will be very scary.
Also, being a control mage, he can cast defense spells on himself or his companions as well as control spells on enemies - a character to watch out for!
Ismail Ishraqi is a free character for Platinum Pledge backers.
Jacques D'ancourt

Jacques belongs to a select group of people who have set foot in Hawthorn Point of their own volition.
While in the service of the Arbeneaux household as a court falconer, Jacques discovered music to fill his moments of solitude… much to the displeasure of his huntress buzzard, Hellion.
And his renown as a musician grew as quickly as his renown as a lover.
There are few that can resist his charms and he knows this all too well.
Even his lord holds him in high esteem (and his son, two nieces, and one of their cousins…).

But, despite his bravado and rakish airs, Jacques leads a rather lonely existence.
Court life is boring and superficial to him, so he fills the silence with his witty songs and pithy nonsense.
He created this chatty, scoundrel persona as a front to hide his insecurities and fit in at court. When his master asked someone to go to Hawthorn Point to take care of some trade matters, Jacques was quick to volunteer.
There he would have the opportunity to be himself without any facade or artifice.
So he slung his dulcimer over his shoulder and, accompanied by Hellion, set out on his journey.
Perhaps in Hawthorn Point, lost to the hand of Selas, Jacques would truly find his place in this world.

Jacques is the typical bard you can imagine in a role-playing game: a character whose main skill is to manage and control states.
His main function will be to remove negative states from the other characters, boost them and annoy the enemies with states that harm them.
He is accompanied by a buzzard, Hellion, which is not a pet, but it is Jacques's ranged attack, in addition to his other abilities.
On top of all this, Jacques is also a skilled swordsman.
Any party of heroes should bring a bard with them, so invite Jacques along for the ride!
Jacques is a completely free character for all backers, whether Core or Platinum, and is a Kickstarter exclusive.
Naergon Caladren

Dear Nayra,
I'm sorry our last meeting in Arkhadja was so disheartening.
I would have loved to be able to relate everything to you that has been revealed to me during my time in Hawthorn Point, and I hoped to find in you a haven of peace, the understanding of my sister.
I find myself in a strange place, riddled with doubts, and I am often plagued by nightmares, by… visions.
Master Maielë's words constantly echo in my head, sometimes as a plea, sometimes as a command.
I'm not sure I understand the meaning as of yet. But… I need to know more.
I need to find the answers to all of my questions. And I know I won't find them hidden behind the walls of Hawthorn Point.
I have decided to follow my instincts… to go out and seek the truth.
I have abandoned my companions in the Hegemony, once my brothers in arms, and I write this letter to you to say goodbye…at least for now.
You will hear from me when I have allayed my doubts and fears, when I finally reach what, as Master Maielë said, I have always been searching for.
I hope that when the time comes, you will finally comprehend my words: The world in which we live is shrouded by a veil of malevolence that I intend to tear down.
I look forward to our next meeting.
Naergon

Naergon Caladren, Nayra's twin brother, is a character that is closer to becoming a Dark-Minded Elf than to continue belonging to the Hegemony of Embersig.
This closeness to the fearsome fog grants him amazing abilities, such as being able to control some enemy units, like the Husks but as a counterpoint, he uses 2 dark energy cubes.
It is clear that Naergon will be a great character during your adventure, but the threat of the Tinge will always hover dangerously over him.

Naergon Caladren is a totally free character for all backers, whether Core or Platinum.
Biwa Stolberg
Biwa Stolberg had spent his life observing his surroundings.
Nature and its patterns were fascinating to him.
He was among the best of the Folders of Mounthaven, possibly because he was always one to go one step further.

His greatest desire was to discover the original pattern, the Primal Fold: the Fold of Life.
No Folder in Mounthaven had done more than conjure the spirits of their creations, and no one had ever been able to bring paper to life.
Biwa was convinced that it could be done, and he desired, more than anything, to find out how.
That was his purpose for the Master Plan, and this led to Biwa being instructed to travel to Hawthorn Point while accompanying the ambassador, Thurgild Thursmund.
It was there Biwa immediately perceived that something odd was afoot.

This oddness was made evident by the long-dead corpses that began to rise out of their graves.
But this gave Biwa the opportunity to view several of these animated carcasses up close…and he was horrified by what he saw.
The folds of those bodies contained the disturbing power of granting life to undead flesh.
It seemed what he had longed to discover was indeed possible, but it had a dark and sinister purpose.
It was then that Biwa asked Ambassador Thursmund for permission to join the adventuring companies in search of answers to the many questions now turning in his mind.
Biwa is a magician from Mounthaven.

His Special Ability involves the use of three sheets of an alloy with orichalcum.
According to how Biwa folds the sheets, he can invoke one thing or another as well as have control over some of the features of whatever he invokes.
His summonings are manifestations of spells that create an effect: They do what it is they are called to do then vanish into thin air.
An amazing summoner that will be very useful during the campaign!
Biwa Stolberg is a free character for Platinum Pledge backers, and is a Kickstarter exclusive.
Oona
Oona was recruited from the Forest of Ashes to assist other Sÿenann in their skirmishes against the Hegemony of Embersig in The Forest of No Return, and in a particularly bloody fight she lost both her arm and leg.
The Hegemony soldiers shot down a Sÿena which fell on the battlefield and the powerless Oona gathered its fruits and kept them as a treasure.
But when she touched her stump, a Sÿena hazelnut took root in her flesh, and Oona once again had an arm…this appendage though being made of Sÿena wood. However, this was only a temporary effect, but she soon discovered that each Sÿena hazelnut had a different effect on her body.

And then, from out of nowhere, Root appeared.
At first, it was just another of the voices that whispered sweet nothings into her brain as the Sÿena fruits merged with her body.
Each one had its own peculiarities, but Root was different. With Root, Oona went back through the portals between the elven forests, as if she were not Ashen.
Also, Root whispered the name of a specific place to her: Hawthorn Point.
Oona reached the Forest of No Return and kept walking until she reached a village.

There, Root’s intensity increased, though Oona couldn't understand what they were now trying to convey to her, so she decided to stay to find out why Root brought her here in the first place.
Oona is a druid from the Forest of Ashes who is missing an arm and a leg.
She can graft magic seeds to her stumps to fight with an arm made of branches, as well as walk on an enchanted wooden leg.
She carries a colony of leeches that take from her the orichalcum in blood and store it in saccules.
When Oona leaves her forest for long periods of time, she can take from the leeches the orichalcum her body needs.

Gameplay speaking Oona can absorb Stain from her teammates and use it to power her spells.
This Sÿenann completely changes the way you’ll play the missions, as characters will be able to fully unleash their abilities because Oona will take care of their Stain tokens.
However, she cannot absorb more Stain than she can reuse, so be careful with Oona!
Oona is a free character for Platinum Pledge backers.
