Warcrow Adventures is a narrative challenge in which you control your character and your decisions can change a match.
Yes, you’ve read that right. Your decisions affect the story and can change the course of the whole match.
Learning to play Warcrow Adventures is very easy, and to make it even easier, we’ve developed an app that can guide you and help you manage some elements. But that doesn’t mean that the game’s mechanics are simplistic. Quite the opposite, actually. It’s a game with many layers and a wide range of possibilities.

Narrative decisions
You’re playing a narrative scenario. The choice seems simple enough: either to pick up a certain item or not. However, there are many variables that influence the result of the action and the events that unfold thereafter:
The character you choose to perform the action may cause you to gain more or less information. That choice may cause the character to end up being harmed by that action since the choice of character modifies the level of difficulty and the narrative.
If interacting with the item requires a dice roll, the result of the roll will influence your chances.

Picking up said item may cause you to lose time and miss some other match event. Conversely, maybe not picking it up will make some NPC less open to talking to you, making them leave instead.
Speaking of NPCs, the same rules apply to them. Interacting with a story character can be different each time depending on what you choose to do.
Let us give you an example from the first campaign mission:

In this picture, we see what the app shows when you interact with a door during the mission. You’ve got three options: to pick the lock, to kick the door open, or to listen to what’s behind it.
Each option represents a different narrative challenge and the result will depend on the choice you make. For example, failing to kick the door open will be different from obtaining key information from listening through it.
Additionally, the number of successes on the tests will have an impact on the narrative and in the difficulty.
Another example: picking the lock quietly and without drawing attention would be very different from being so noisy that everyone and their mother in the Sÿenann forests can hear you.
Combat decisions
The ones mentioned above are not the only type of situations in which you’ll have to make a decision. You can also change the course of a battle.
When the enemy engages your character, it’s time to take out the Initiative Tracker (the action wheel). In it, you place the characters according to the Initiative Order that they have at the moment.
In case of a draw, you choose who goes first. Once placed, and given that you’ll be able to see who’s going to become active and when you’ll be able to prepare your strategy.

You can manage your energy to move around in the Tracker, either hastening or delaying your turn. Remember that becoming active first may be positive on some occasions, but not very wise on others.
Dice in Warcrow Adventures don’t have blank sides. Certain unique skills and the switches involved in them will allow you to narrow down the randomness of each roll you make.
The symbols in the character’s Energy Panel will give you even more options, with instant effects on your character or on others as long as you choose to invest in them.
Remember that each character has a different Energy Panel.

Character control
Every character in Warcrow Adventures is different from the other. They have unique skills and tailor-made mechanics; moreover, we can evolve them during the campaign. Each player will steer the evolution of their character following the different options featured in their development tree.
In this game, you will have to constantly take attribute rolls and the team's luck will depend on the result. To pass these tests successfully, it is crucial that you develop and improve your character. During the game, you will be able to obtain materials after eliminating enemies, opening chests, or exploring locations on the map, and with them, you will be able to create objects in Hawthorn Point. To keep track of your items, there is a specific inventory button in the app.

On the other hand, the level of Stain and Taint that they may end up building up is your business alone. Delving into the magical arts may have its advantages, but if you don’t cleanse the Stain and act carelessly, those bonuses may endanger the life of your character. Each player will have to decide how far they’ll go.

When all is said and done, each Warcrow Adventures match will invariably be different from the one before.
Play, explore the different possibilities and have fun controlling the story!
