Alternate reality game [Spoiler alert]

Can you imagine making community with other fans of the same fantasy universe while enjoying an immersive adventure through different media? Well, that's what's happening right now with Warcrow!

In just one weekend, over 1,000 brave souls have joined this journey.Thank you for being part of this community, travelers of Lindwurm, and for bringing your energy and passion! This is only the beginning of an adventure that will shape the current magical cycle…

This adventure started on July 1st and has as its communication center the official Discord channel. If you haven't joined yet, don't worry, there's still time!

For this, we have prepared this post where we will accumulate in order of appearance, the clues that our community is finding, in case you want to solve them by yourself and join the circle of seekers!

1. Arrival message to Discord

After completing your registration in Discord, if you scroll down on the threads chart, you will find the Circle of Seekers:

Bran, the innkeeper, welcomes you into the group with this message:

Greetings, traveler! You have answered the call, and now you are part of a mission that could alter the very threads of fate. Rumors are spreading throughout Lindwurm of a mystery that must be solved- for everyone knows the world of Warcrow is full of secrets, waiting to be uncovered by those with a keen eye. Will you dare to uncover one of them with us? Stay sharp, for clues may appear where you least expect them!

This channel will be your circle of wisdom, your refuge to share theories and speculations. If you discover a clue - no matter how cryptic or strange it may seem - post it here. Remember, only together can we solve this mystery. The mission may last days, perhaps even longer. But if you succeed, a reward worthy of those who challenge the unknown awaits you.

May the Architect guide your steps or may the Moon Goddesses bless you, as you seek to uncover the truth. We wish you the very best of luck.

People start coming to the channel and the search doesn't take long to start. Our community opens the rule books, rummages through our social networks, takes screenshots of EVERYTHING, but little do they know that they will have to wait a few days for the first clue to see the light...

2. Fragments of mysterious letters

July 2

Vanguard Tactics makes a live broadcast on their channel, which apparently has nothing to do with this fantasy universe, but at minute 4, they release a short video without context:

July 5

The new video from the Sam Lenz Artwork channel, contains the following animation:

Members of the search team are quick to notice and share it on Discord.

July 6

A day later, we came across a new video, this time from Tabletop Time Miniatures:

They begin to wonder how many letter fragments there will be, but now what they are clear about is the type of clue they are looking for.

July 7

Ontabletop publishes an article with the following video:

July 8

Warlore shares content with another letter fragment embedded in the middle of his video:

Each fragment hides a piece of a clue that if you put them together and know what to do with them, will lead you to the next point...

3. Map

We found a practically empty website: a map, a looping song and a box to check your answer.

The phrase in the box says “Where does it come from?”.

In the chat, doubts start to arise about what it refers to, what kind of answer they should put.... Things get a bit complicated :P.

But one should not underestimate the power of a motivated crowd! Within minutes, someone came up with the answer.

And with it, there is a new password. By copying and pasting it into the Circle of Seekers chat.

This attracts Bran's attention, who sends you a private message:

By Losna's shadow, what are you talking about? Strange music coming from underneath Dormant Lake? You're not making any sense, my friend! I think what you need is a nice meal in your belly to set that head of yours straight. Come with me to the Brave Parsley's basement, I'll make you something delicious.

After completing this chapter, you get automatically the title of Seeker.

4. The Brave Parsley Basement

A new, previously hidden thread will appear after your message:

So we follow Bran, as he asked us, and enter Brave Parsley Basement. Here he tells us:

I was just minding my own business here in my inn, getting ready to serve up our classic breakfast, and you’ve made me completely forget the name of it. You know which one I mean, right? The dish with that special fresh-caught fish, red peppers, zucchini, carrots, and nice fresh mushrooms. If you tell me the name of this traditional dish, so I can write it up on the chalkboard for my customers to see it’s on the menu, I’ll serve you one for free — and maybe even help you out with your quest!

(Write your answer starting with an exclamation mark and without spaces here in this channel so I can understand you.)

It seems that we have to navigate and try to solve this “secondary mission” offered by our dear inn keeper.

Then, our players remember an article from 3 years ago! we wrote about The food in Lindwurm, where our colleague Alberto (suspiciously similar to Bran) offers several culinary recipes including the aforementioned breakfast.

That's how you get the answer for Bran, who continues:

That’s right! That is the name I was looking for. Enjoy your meal! And while you’re ruminating on that, now that you’ve shown yourself to be a true Brave Parsley regular, I’ll let you in on a rumor making the rounds here at the inn: It seems the High Priestess Verena is plotting something. She’s been spotted meeting in secret with a few of the Knights of the Sacred Relic in that popular printing house, where they make public all the latest information on games of war. Friday tends to be pretty quiet around there, so you might just get lucky and find what you’re looking for. Good luck!

A conversation + a place where you find out about the latest ‘wargaming’ new + Friday.

5. The mysterious Feudom meeting

The message seems to direct us to something that was recently announced: Wargamer.com's AMA streaming about Warcrow.

July 11

Hoopoe, game developer of Warcrow and Max Latanzzi, current marketing lead, participated in this live chat. It was an informal AMA (Ask me anything) style interview, where the team answered questions from the chat. It lasted approximately 55 minutes and it wasn't until almost the end that Max tilted his head to reveal a piece of paper hanging on his wall.

Watch the complete interview

The chat, quickly asked Max to move his head again, and by zooming in they were able to scan it to get to a video called “Veryclevertraveller.mp4”:

And for now, this is as far as we can tell you! You have already caught up with what is being discovered. If you want to be part of it, run to Discord.
