Magic

  • Can a Spellcaster have more than one spell with duration active at the same time?

No, they cannot. Should a Spellcaster want to activate another spell with duration, they must cancel the current one.

  • How should spells that resolve as ‘ranged attacks’ be treated, and do allies engaged with the targets get stressed? Can you activate the switches for your ranged attacks?

The action is ‘Cast a spell’, although mechanically it resolves as a ranged attack. The ‘cast a spell’ action does not stress units engaged with the target. Unless the spell specifies it, you do not gain additional switches from your normal ranged attack, if you have one.

Dispel

  • When a non-Spellcaster unit attempts to block a spell using the Dispel keyword (eg, Alborc's "Sword of the Sun" passive ability), does it gain stress?

No, the unit does not suffer stress.

  • Can I Dispel and block a spell with a spellcaster at the same time?

Dispel is a keyword that enables your unit to block a spell as if you were a Spellcaster. Should you have both options, you must choose one. From the rulebook: Remember that you cannot attempt to block a spell more than once or with more than one unit.

Tinge

  • Do we roll for all tinged units at the beginning of the round to check the effects of the tinge?

At the beginning of the round, you must check the effects of the tinge with each of your units affected by it, and you must do it separately. I.e., if there are 3 units in your company with tinge tokens (Frostfire Herald, Bucklermen and Marhael), you must roll 3 times and apply the corresponding effects separately.
